The Hall was built in 1908 and officially opened on Friday 25th September 1908 with a concert and a ball. The proceeds of the ball and concert amounted to about 26 pounds.
The Hall then mainly was used for balls, family functions, meetings, weddings, birthdays, farewells, social dances, card nights, handicrafts, table tennis, carpet bowls, school concerts, melodramas, pre school, Sunday School, jazz ballet classes.
The Hall now is still used for celebratory functions, funerals, meetings, on going classes, markets and is the local evacuation centre.
The Hall has a Committee that manage the overall running, bookings, promotions, fund raising and cleaning of the Hall. All funds raised go towards the overall maintenance and events are held during the year to raise money for it.
A Vegie Stand has been set up at the front of the Hall selling a variety of items including flowers, pickles, jams, vegetables, fruits, plants and other items. All these items have been kindly donated by our beautiful community to sell with the proceeds going to the Hall.
A Book Exchange cupboard is also out the front of the Hall where you can drop off a few of your read books and pick up some more.
The Hall is so grateful for all the donations and support it receives from the local community.
